We don’t need a certain age to fall in love, we don’t need to be rich or to be poor to be married and to have a beautiful family, and we don’t have to be white in order to attract someone on the opposite sex. Love isn’t about our skin color, love is about feelings and you can’t demand your heart to beat for a person who has the same skin color as yours. There are a lot of cases in which opposites attracts, so in our days, don’t be surprised if you’ll see a white woman with a black man, walking down the street and smiling happily. Although we pretend to have a modern thinking, we still fault relationships between black and white people.

In many countries, racism was a great problem and even now, when it seems that everybody agrees with a relationship between people with different skin colors, actually, no on would like to see, for example, his beautiful white daughter married to a black man. Especially in America, there are a lot of specialists that are still studying the relationships between black and white people. Apparently, you’d say that there’s no point in doing that, but they really have some reasons. Many people can’t understand how men and women with different cultures, traditions and histories can live together or even get married. There are more than 200,000 married black-white couples only in America, although in some regions it might be forbidden.

In Virginia, for example, relationships between black and white are totally illegal. A white man and a black woman were convicted, because they didn’t respect the state’s rules and they got married. For an open-minded person, the law regarding interracial couples might sound very stupid and very racist: since God created white people, black people and others, and He put them on different continents, they should stay like this, without mixing ones with the others. If a friendship between people with different skin color might be accepted, a marriage will never be!

Nowadays, we have to accept a lot of things and new customs: lesbians, gay, etc. But if you can pass over sexual differences, why is it so hard for us to accept relationships between black and white? Michael Henry Adams has an interesting quote that says: “Gay, or straight, black, or white: love is love, right is right!” Apparently, everyone agrees with him, but when it comes to have a new member in our own family with a different skin color, then the situation changes!

We have to understand that, besides gay people for example, black ones didn’t choose their skin color, neither the yellow folks did. But in most cases, you’d rather accept a yellow woman for a white man that a black one.

We have to think about relationships in the past and take a look over the world’s history, which is full of racism. It is easier for us to repeat those mistakes or to pass over them?

If in the past people were more reserved regarding sex and intimate relationships, nowadays we can see tips and information about this everywhere: on the internet, at TV, in all kinds of magazines, etc. People are talking about sex without any inhibition and yet we don’t know if this is a good or a bad thing. But there can be two types of relationships between the students and their teachers, let’s say positive or constructive and negative or even illegal. Usually, students tend to associate a certain subject with the one that teaches it. You’ll often hear people say “I didn’t like math in school because my math teacher was a mad woman who was always screaming at us”. But a student – teacher relationship can be a cold and negative if the teachers don’t know how to teach or how to work with his students. In order to catch their attention, he should have certain skills and a certain preparation and what is very important, he should love to work with children and teenagers. There are teachers even nowadays when we think that we have developed communication skills, that don’t know how to get along with their students. Perhaps is the age difference, but a good teacher always know how to adapt to a situation and I once heard that a teacher who really knows how to work with teenagers is always young. He should understand their problems and besides the subject he teaches, he should try to be very close to them. Often, teenagers need a piece of advice and sometimes, a teacher can be the person they need.

The teachers are very important persons for any student who spends a lot of time at school, but even for those who don’t like classes too much. We all have beautiful memories from the period when we were students.
