Every relationship is different. We all experience the same things, almost the same things, but only we know exactly what happens in our relationship. There has always been the wrong idea about who has the power in a relationship. In a normal relationship no one has the power. There is no power and it shouldn`t be either. It`s a wrong idea to think that men hold the power in a couple. Men are more strong, men tend to make more money than a women but this doesn`t mean that they hold the power. Women also work hard and women are more stronger in some situations than men. Some messed up couples have a problem with who holds the power. The man wants to be above the women and from this issue many start many fights. Many don`t know that being a macho and acting without thinking doesn`t mean power. There are so many cases of domestic violence that it almost makes you sad. Well this shouldn`t be happening. Women shouldn`t accept a man that is violent besides them. We know how tough men are, but violence is not the answer.

Power shoudn`t be a thing in a relationship, but unfortunately many just don`t know other way. There are many relationships where the women is obedient and the man does everything he wants. Staying in a destructive relationship like this one is not healthy. Many women accept this situation either because they don`t have anywhere else to go, or they just love the man too much. Love should keep two people together only if it`s a great relationship. If the feeling is not mutual or is not expressed equally then the relationship fails. Men usually think that they are above all women and this thinking is not right. We are all equal and if someone says differently then he is not right. Is power a thing in a relationship? yes it is.

The truth is that men are considered the family bosses. And they are until a certain point. If their decisions aren`t the right ones the rest of the family and the woman especially don`t have to follow him. A relationship means understanding and communication. Without talking to each other all that you have build will tumble down. Discussing about your problems is a way to keep the relationship going. Every couple has fights and arguments the key is to know how to handle them without ruining all that you have achieved. It`s hard to find someone to love you for who you are, and if you have found that special someone then it`s a shame to let it slip away because of some silly ideas like, who has the power. As a conclusion, power can be a serious problem in some relationships. Men have to understand that they need our help too, behind every successful man there is a woman.
